Fresh food at the end of October

Most of the work now is garden cleanup, but there’s still plenty to harvest and eat.

We noticed some plants growing in a row we thought we’d cleared.

Celeriac! Harvesting this root crop should happen after a light frost, but before the first heavy frost. That’s exactly where we are now.

There are plenty of delicious herbs still growing in the boxes.

These cherry tomatoes continued ripening in the shed when an alert gardener thought to stow them in there before our light frost a couple of weeks ago.

The Now Harvesting list may be shorter than it was a month ago, but look at all that food.
