Volunteers Help Make This Garden Grow

In two hours, three positive, productive, and skilled volunteers erased several hours’ worth of work from the hardworking gardeners’ docket.

In contrast to the pounding rain and shin-high puddles that washed out our June 20 volunteer day, yesterday was gloriously beautiful and so comfortable for gardening.

We are very grateful. The Garden at 485 Elm welcomes Vermont Youth AmeriCorps any time!

Summer squash and zucchini are over. Now these beds are weeded and ready for final winter prep.

Here lie our tomato beds—gone, all gone. But look at the smiles as volunteers weed and tidy them up.
