More food ripening

For a while, we ate fresh greens. We tended other crop plants and thought about them as future food. Now the future is starting to arrive.

If we look carefully, there are plenty of ready-to-eat beets.

Beautiful and edible bouquet

With the appearance of mature peas, it won’t be long before we’ll be picking fast to keep up with these peas

Mesclun mixes and at least a dozen varieties of lettuces are abundant

Thinning lettuces will provide enough for us to start this year’s donations to Montpelier’s free community lunches

It won’t be long before there’s more food ready to harvest than will fit on this board, and coming faster than I can update the list
