Community Garden Partners

In addition to being a 501(c)(3) charity, The Garden at 485 Elm Inc. has a USDA farm number. This allows participation in programs for mulching, low tunnels, and other potential projects as well as in the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service.

The Vermont Garden Network provides grant funding opportunities, materials donation, and technical and organizational support. VGN is truly that without which! Learn more: https://vtgardens.org/.

NEGEF has given the garden a Seed Grant, a Grow Grant, and, in 2017, a grant as one of four pilot project sites for Food Scrap Composting in Community Gardens. https://grassrootsfund.org/
