So you learned the basic principles of soil science in the Master Gardener or another course, now what?
Join Dr. Wendy Sue Harper for a hands-on class on bed preparation for home vegetable growers. Learn how to read and interpret a soil test, how to choose fertilizer and how to calculate what to put on your garden bed.
Presenter bio:
Dr. Wendy Sue Harper has taught ecological agriculture, soil science, and composting for 30 years. In addition to teaching UVM Extension Master Composters and Gardeners, Wendy Sue teaches soils for UVM’s Beginning Farmer program, to Engineers, as well as courses for the Green Mountain College online Masters of Science in Sustainable Food Systems, (Moving to Prescott College). Additionally she does inspections for Vermont organic farms.
