Just about ready and coming soon
(2 of 2) We have lots of photos and instructions to share with gardeners here. I’m going to post this one publicly for easy sharing with gardeners, and so you can learn more about how a cooperative CSA-model community garden works from the inside.
Bed 7a more BUSH BEANS: A fresh crop is on the way. Harvest as much as you can and want to.
Bed 7c LETTUCE LEAF BASIL. It will be huge, tender, and tasty.
NOTE about BED 8 HERBS: Please do not pull out whole perennial plants. Someone pulled an entire lavender plant (pictured here — looks a bit like rosemary) and replaced it with an annual. At end of Sept, we’ll offer potted herbs for your home from the plants that won’t over winter in garden.
Bed 2a EGGPLANT: They’re still growing. Watch for eggplants at least 8″ long and 4″ diameter. SHARE: 1-2 per household per day.
Bed 6a CORN – SHARE: 4 ears per day per household. Pick ears w Brown tassels that look & feel plump. Most of the ears that are ready are in the middle of section 6a (the first planting).
Bed 4c BROCCOLI & CAULIFLOWER: Almost ready. SHARE: One large head of broccoli & one of cauliflower per household. Secondary sprouts will be unlimited picking.
