Interdependence on Independence Day We gardened, we ate, we enjoyed each other’s company. July 4th means the reemay row cover comes off! The threats from pests and cold are down, and the plants are more robust to face whatever comes. It’s much easier to tend uncovered beds. Diana tends cherry tomatoes. Heirloom tomatoes are coming along. This year we’re growing Moskvich, Cosmonaut Volkov, and Carbon from seedlings that Patrick at Ananda Gardens started. Chris and Bonnie have a watering orientation. Peas! We picked salad for our dinner together as well as for gardeners to take home and enjoy. Bonnie and Kelly relax under the solar panels. A good time was had by all.
